To provide a common platform for the discussion, exchange and communication of views on all matters affecting members on subjects concerning trade, business and general welfare of the area as a whole. in all local affairs.
To maintain constant relationships with the local County Council, the Town Council and other bodies and to act as the local voice of members on all matters connected with the improvement of the local business environment.
To seek and encourage links as appropriate with any other trade, commerce, business or professional organisation for the benefit of members.
To support worthy measures, to oppose any authority seeking to curtail the rights and privileges of the business community and to provide litigation support on behalf of any members with a genuine grievance.
To communicate with members via the Chambers own newsletter and website.
To organise social activities to encourage and maintain friendship and communications between members.
To preserve, increase and develop Chamber membership and to promote inter trading.
